The SpICE approach aims to strengthen and engage the community to work together to ensure an increase in child, family and community wellbeing. The SpICE model focuses on ‘capacity building’ and enhancing the culture of the community – parents and carers and specialist professionals (Education, Speech Pathologist and Physiotherapist etc.) and other services of the community, such as Parkes Neighbourhood Centre (PNC), to adopt a community learning approach. SpICE enhances the effectiveness of available resources, builds capacity and partnerships within the community.

Our Aim

The aim of our project is to educate, inform and connect the community members of Parkes, Forbes and wider community of the health services available in the area. In creating the website we hope to make a positive impact within the local community and provide long term meaningful resources that are sustainable in the Parkes and Forbes community.
